Our attorneys have successfully represented employees and employers in individual and class action litigation involving allegations of race and gender discrimination, FLSA cases, and religious discrimination cases, and have successfully represented businesses in class actions involving the Telecommunications Act.
Our attorneys presently represent a number of successful recording artists and labels. The Entertainment Practice Group specializes in contract negotiations and preparations, royalties, royalty litigation, copyright law and distribution issues, including downloads from web sites.
James Voyles is the senior partner of Voyles . He has enjoyed extraordinary success representing plaintiffs and defendants in litigation. He received his undergraduate degree from Brescia University, a Master of Arts from the University of Mississippi, a Ph.D. (with honors) from North Texas State University and Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Georgia State University College of Law.
He was awarded the James Wilford Garner fellowship for advance study, including post-doctoral study at Emory University and Oxford University. He is a former professor at several colleges and universities including Spring Hill College, the University of North Texas, the University of South Alabama and Georgia State University College of Law. He is the author of many professional publications and has been a speaker at continuing education courses.
Mr. Voyles also serves as a Special Administrative Law Judge in the State of Georgia. He has appeared on numerous television shows to discuss his high profile cases including The Larry King Show, CNN Presents, The Nancy Grace Show, Fox News and the BBC.
